After installing the fan, we realized that the water was evaporating way too quickly. We were not able to get to the school this weekend to replace the water. My guess is the temperature spiked. We are not expecting much of a hatch out of this batch either. This incubator is not of very good quality. After researching ones that have worked, I have written a DonorsChoose.org grant. Please consider donating to our classroom. If you do so, they will match each donation for the first week. If you donate $20, they will make it $40! What an incredible deal! You must enter the code INSPIRE. For tonight and tomorrow, your donation of $20 or more will earn gift cards for my classroom projects! This is like tripling your donation! Thanks for supporting my classroom. Remember, we have also been working with many other classrooms. This project will not only benefit my students, but MANY others as well (including years to come)! Click below and enter code INSPIRE to donate!
http://www.donorschoose.org/lecroy will take you to my classroom page. Or, click here to go straight to our project! We just don't know what's g this morning the temperature was 108°F. We think it's because the water is evaporating too qiuickly. The thermometer also keeps falling. We are nervous about this weekend! Here is the link to the post about the types of chicken eggs we have. (The eggs are from Mrs. LeCroy's Dad's chickens.) We are incubating 41 eggs again. 35 were from the breeds above, but the other 6 were from someone Mrs. LeCroy's husband works with. His name is Danny. His chickens are Golden Comets. Hopefully we will have much more success with hatching!
