Rock Hill (and most of South Carolina) had a terrible winter storm on Valentine's Week. Mrs. LeCroy and her son, Cullen, met Ms. Cochrane at school on Friday to check on the chicks. Mrs. LeCroy added more water to keep the eggs humid. The temperature looked good, so hopefully the chicks are okay! The good news is there had been no power outages. They should be ok until Tuesday when everyone returns to school.
On day two the heart will from. Then after 42 hours the heart starts to beat. Finaly the ears form. For it to do this on day two the incubator needs to be 99.5 degrees Fahrenhit for it to do this. By Lex
Below are the types of chickens that laid our eggs. These are all the different types that Mrs. LeCroy's dad has.
Mrs. LeCroy visited her dad in Fountain Inn, SC. He raises chickens. Below are a few pictures of Mrs. LeCroy and her children getting the eggs from the chicken nests. |
